Size:  900 sq. ft. expanding to include other beds

Gardening Style: Raised rows, partial irrigation

Growing:  Fruits, berries, vegetables including winter storage crops, herbs (has chickens and ducks as well)

Serving: Port Townsend Food Bank (Distributes Wednesday and Saturday)

Supporters:  Birch Shapiro (land owner and ergonomic tools), Shold’s mulching materials

Need:  Volunteers to prep, plant, weed and harvest and deliver for Wednesday and Saturday distribution at the Port Townsend Food Bank.

Farms Reach Food Bank Garden

Size:  2000 sq. ft.

Gardening Style: Combo of Raised beds and rows, greenhouse, hand watering

Growing:  Seasonal crops, flowers, herbs

Serving:  Tri-Area Food Bank (Distribute Wednesday), Quilcene Food Bank (Distribute Wednesday) and Brinnon Food Bank (Distribute Tuesday)

Supporters:  Farms Reach Cafe

Need:  Volunteers to water, weed, and harvest; work parties to prep garden in spring and late fall.

Goosefoot  Food Bank Garden at Finnriver Orchard

Size: (3) 150 ft. rows, approximately 3,000 sq. ft. 

Gardening Style: Rows and organic practices, uses starts, irrigated

Growing:  Lettuces, salad greens, winter storage crops, winter stir fry mix

Serving:  Tri-Area Food Bank (Distributes Wednesday), Quilcene (Distributes Wednesdays), Brinnon (Distributes Tuesday)

Supporters:  Finnriver for land, water, and equipment. Organic Seed Alliance for seeds.

Need:  Financial donations are appreciated

Port Townsend High School and Food Bank Garden

Size:  10,000 sq. ft.

Gardening Style: Raised beds, hoop house, rows, full prep area outside of garden, pollinator garden, irrigated. 

Growing:  Veggies, raspberries, fruit, lettuce, winter and summer vegetables

Serving: Port Townsend Public Schools with surplus to Port Townsend Food Bank, (Distributed Wednesday and Saturday)

Supporters:  Port Townsend Schools, Hermann brothers, WSU Jefferson County Extension Master Gardeners. 

Need:  Volunteers in summer to harvest, prep, deliver food

Quimper Grange Food Bank Garden

Size:  7,000 sq. ft.

Gardening Style: Mix of raised beds and rows, two hoop houses, irrigated

Growing:   Lettuce, spinach, herbs, tomatoes, cucumbers and winter and summer greens, and raspberries

Serving: Port Townsend Food Bank (Distributes Wednesday and Saturday)

Supporters:  Yount family, Quimper Grange (land, water and power, and use of kitchen for winter prep), Olympic bio-char, Hermann brothers for hog fuel.

Need:  Volunteers for seeding, weeding, and harvesting and delivery for Wednesday and Saturday distribution at the Port Townsend Foodbank. Work parties for spreading heavy mulch.

Gardening Style:  Raised Beds and irrigation

Growing:  Strawberries, winter greens, herbs

Serving:  Tri-Area Food Bank (Distribute Wednesday), Quilcene Food Bank (Distribute Wednesday) Brinnon Food Bank (Distribute Tuesday) 

Supporters:  Rain Coast Farms

Need:  Volunteers for prepping, planting, weeding and harvesting throughout the growing season.

Size: 6,000 sq. ft.

Gardening Style: Some raised beds for the Food Banks, and the rest are pea patch beds. One hoop house. Irrigated site.

Growing:  Veggies, greens, and winter storage crops

Serving: Tri-Area Food Bank (Distribute Tuesday), Quilcene  FoodBank (Distribute Monday ) and Brinnon Food Bank (Distribute Monday)

Supporters:  Land owned by John Gunning

Need:  Co-manager, volunteers for prepping, planting, weeding and harvesting throughout the growing season.
