The garden looks a lot different after last Wednesday’s workday! Except for a few small patches of overwintering greens, the garden has been tilled and planted with mixed winter cover crop. Now that the garden has been out to bed for the winter, we’ll celebrate the “end” of a successful first season with a final volunteer lunch and reflection!
This is an important lunch meeting, in part because it is the current garden coordinator’s (Ellen’s), last day at the garden AND the last lunch of the year! This winter the work days will be less frequent, although there is certainly work to do…We’ll be figuring out volunteer roles, and making a plan for the winter so that the garden continues to improve flourish, and providing good fresh food for the food bank! The meeting will start at 11 am in the Mountain View greenhouse, and lunch will be at NOON!
Can’t wait to see you all there!
